Death of Dr. Taussig : At Jassy there died on the 8th August last, Dr. Bernhard Taussig, who as a member of the Jewish community, and as a physician was known far over the boundaries of Roumania. Taussig was born at Prague, where he also obtained his higher education and medical training. When a young physician he went to Jassy, where for twelve years he held a leading position at the Lunatic Asylum. Later on he was appointed chief medical officer at the Jewish hospital. 15,000 people attended his funeral. He was 60 years of age and leaves a widow, one son and a daughter.
