Herr Moses Schwarzfeld, the editor of the Egalitatea, has just celebrated the twenty fifth anniversary of his literary activity. Herr Schwarzfeld was born in Jassy in 1857, and whilst still at school began to write. He has given to the world a number of novels in Roumanian dealing with Jewish life, and had also written a comprehensive "History of the Jews in Roumania. " In 1890 he founded the above-mentioned paper, which is now one of the most important journals in Roumania.
